Nathan Scott has spent most of his life on stage in community and church theater productions. When he was 16 and a part of the Musical Theater program at Marcus High School, he was introduced to Blayde and Sharon Burris. He then started studying dance at their studio Top Hat, and has fallen in love with dancing since. Nathan just ended a 2-year employment with Arthur Murray Dance Studio, teaching and competing in ballroom dance. While he was there he had the opportunity to train with some of the top ballroom professionals in the world, including Snow Urbin, Bibi Odegaard-Jung, Jean-Marc Genereux, and Urs Geisenhainer with Agnes Kazmeircsak. Nathan has also been featured twice in the North Lake annual concert under the direction of Brenda Parker-Braswell. He has had the opportunity to work with Joe Tremaine, Nicola Hoff, Janice LaPointe Crump, and Linda Leonard. Nathan is currently attending school in hopes to open his own restaurant and dance studio one day. Nathan is in his second year with Dance Unending. He also dances with the Collin County Ballet and is a dance major at the University of North Texas. Nathan strongly believes in the healing power of dance and the arts to oneself and others. "I see dance being used as communication between body and soul, to express what it too deep to find for words." ~Ruth St. Denis www.duperformingcompany.com 2009. All rights reserved. |
